About Me

Sally, the Sightseer

Hi there! My name is Sally, and I’m a sightseer. Yes, that’s right – in my spare time, I go about seeing (and videoing/photographing) sights of interest. For me, these sights of interest include the following:

the creepy, strange, or weird;
abandoned (but not forgotten!) buildings and places;
amusement/theme parks;
ghost towns;
the four S’s: sun, sand, shells & surf;
places of UFO sightings;
the real life places Rockstar Games featured in the game Grand Theft Auto V – San Andreas;
the Salton Sea;
anything and everything in between.

What I lack in formal training in videography and photography, I make up for in the passion I have as a sightseer for learning and for experiencing new adventures. I take great pride in my work and do my best to improve in some way each and every time I bring something new to the table – both in content and quality. Everything you see here, I do myself… the photos, video editing/production, the writing, etc.  I understand, though, not all of you are going to like me, my style, or my sightseeing adventures. If you’re one of those people, I say, “Thanks for the feedback, and now move on.” Nobody is forcing you to read my posts or watch my videos.

If there is anything that you, my fellow sightseers, wish to see featured in upcoming videos or posts, feel free to get in touch with me by leaving a comment, sending me a message through my “Contact Me” page, or by emailing me directly at sightseeingsally@gmail.com. I would love to hear your suggestions and be able to incorporate them into future content!

Thank you for your support! ~SightseeingSally

image of Marty

Marty

Marty is my sightseeing & travel partner. Most often he can be found behind the scenes either assisting with the camera equipment or driving “Old Blue,” the 34 foot Sun Voyager that we use when traveling.

My Four Legged Crew

In addition to Marty, I have four furry companions who travel with me and who will, occasionally, accompany me on sightseeing adventures. When not with me on a sightseeing adventure, they can be found holding down the fort of Old Blue. Please know that the health and safety of my dogs are my utmost priority! At no time will I ever bring them into an environment in which there is even the slightest chance that they could be harmed. Also, I make sure to bring plenty of bags with me so they leave no trace behind.
